Business Development Director - Riyadh - Saudi Arabia

This is a strategic, client-facing leadership role for a Saudi national who can open doors, shape high-impact consulting proposals, and drive growth across public and private sectors in line with Vision 2030. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end business development cycle in KSA from opportunity identification (including platforms such as Etimad) through to proposal submission, follow-up, and conversion.

  • Own the development of high-quality consulting proposals (technical and commercial), coordinating inputs from internal teams and subject matter experts to create clear, compelling submissions.

  • Build, grow, and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across government and private organisations in key sectors such as Health, Hospitality, Energy, Defence, Retail, and Financial Services.

  • Coordinate with partners and subcontractors (NDAs, teaming agreements, company information) and ensure accurate documentation for proposals and contracting.

  • Represent our client in meetings, workshops, sector events, and forums, acting as a trusted ambassador for their capabilities in the Saudi market.

  • Conduct ongoing market and competitor research to spot trends, identify opportunities, and support go-to-market and sector strategies.

  • Maintain a structured BD pipeline and reporting rhythm, ensuring visibility on opportunities, conversion rates, and key account activity.

Requirements

  • Saudi National (required) with a strong understanding of the local market, business culture, and public/private sector dynamics.

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA / Masters is a strong plus.

  • 5+ years experience as managerial level in business development, sales, or client-facing consulting roles, with a proven track record of winning new business in KSA.

  • Experience in one or more of the following sectors: Health, Hospitality, Energy, Defence, Retail, or Financial Services, ideally with exposure to Vision 2030 initiatives and major transformation programmes.

  • Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written), with strong communication and presentation skills in both languages.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; familiarity with tools such as Power BI and SharePoint is an advantage.
