Location: Washington, DC Metro (Hybrid but must reside in the Washington, DC Area)

Job Summary:
Dynamic, mission-focused client is seeking an experienced Recruiter to join a seasoned talent acquisition team in a temporary-to-direct hire capacity. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in corporate or agency recruitment, with a background in government contractingpreferably within the Department of Defense (DoD) sector. This role requires a proactive, highly-engaged recruiter who can build pipelines, contact and nurture relationships with passive candidates, and effectively manage the full-cycle recruitment process. The ideal candidate will thrive working with both autonomy and opportunities to collaborate across stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and screening to offer negotiation and onboarding.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to identify and attract top talent, leveraging job boards, social media, networking, and industry events.
- Partner with hiring managers and HR teams to understand position requirements, priorities, and hiring timelines.
- Build and maintain a talent pipeline for both active and passive candidates, particularly for cleared and DoD contracting roles.
- Ensure compliance with OFCCP, EEO, and other government regulations related to recruitment.
- Utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS) to maintain accurate candidate records and streamline hiring processes.
- Stay informed about government contracting hiring trends, clearance requirements, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with HR and leadership on workforce planning and talent acquisition strategies.

Qualifications & Experience:
- 2-5 years of corporate or agency recruiting experience is highly desired.
- Prior experience recruiting in the government contracting industry (DoD contract recruitment experience highly preferred).
- Strong sourcing skills, including Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other proactive search methodologies.
- Experience working with cleared candidates and an understanding of security clearance processes is a plus.
- Familiarity with government contracting labor categories, salary structures, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills are required.
- Experience using an ATS (Applicant Tracking System) and other recruiting tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with shifting priorities.

Position Type & Duration:
- Temporary to Direct Hire (contingent on performance and business needs).
- Full-time position with potential for conversion to a permanent role.
