Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated LPN MED SURG / TELEMETRY Nurse to join our team of skills nurses! The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and demonstrate proficiency in various nursing practices. Duties
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical/surgical + telemetry setting, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses, adhering to established protocols for medication administration.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ health status, including vital signs and medical history.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Assist with laboratory tests and procedures as required, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications
- Registered with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing (NSCN)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and nursing best practices.
- Experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred; familiarity with medical/surgical nursing is a plus.
- Proficiency in patient care techniques, including medication administration and monitoring.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a calm demeanor.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical nursing practices.
We are looking for dedicated Registered Nurse with the following certifications:
ACLS, BLS, TELEMETR, IV MEDICATION
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Active NSCN registration
- Updated resume
- Vulnerable sector check (VSC)
- Immunization Records
