Our US Partner Client is a Lead and Demand Generation digital marketing agency headquartered in New Jersey.

As an PR Assistant, you will support the public relations team in executing PR campaigns, coordinating media outreach, crafting press materials, and assisting with client communications. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of PR strategies, from media relations to event coordination, all while providing critical administrative and creative support to the PR team.

This is a full-time role, on a US shift and on a Work From Home set-up.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the Account Managers with everyday media monitoring and press management.

  • Weekly Checklists: Regularly monitor the health of client websites and online profiles by executing a weekly SEO-focused checklist. This includes tasks such as reviewing Google Business Profiles for misrepresented information, monitoring client reviews, and making Google Posts to each profile. You will also be responsible for flagging any significant issues to the Account Managers.

  • Awards and Media List Research: Familiarize yourself with the industrys top press contacts and opportunities. You will utilize public relations management software, (i.e. MuckRack, Cision, etc) to identify target journalists, editors, and media contacts for new and ongoing marketing objectives. This software and additional research are utilized to highlight and thoroughly detail prospective industry awards and broadcast interviews.

  • Media Clipping and Tracking: Conduct research to track and manage new media mentions. This includes tracking all news alerts, completing manual research for recent hits, and preparing each hit for client reports.

  • Press Release Distribution: Manage the distribution of client news and press releases. You will become familiar with the press release distribution platform and process. This includes proofreading the copy, optimizing the news item with the correct social contact information, and tracking for all media hits.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in the PR industry or any similar industry

  • Knowleadgable with MuckRack database and Monday.com

  • Develop project plans and manage processes and deadlines to meet established client and internal business goals

  • Amenable to work autonomously but know when to tap into your colleagues and other partners for assistance or to benefit the process with broad communication

  • Develop and deliver effective communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences

  • Accountable to meet commitments

  • Take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm

  • Adoptive and innovate digital applications to help build our clients businesses, build on current technology and platforms used to maximize the effectiveness of public relations strategies for our clients
