As a Director of Operations and Senior Travel Advisor, you will work directly with founder on a highly collaborative and fast-paced team. You will execute trips for clients from conception to completion, including trip research, correspondence with suppliers and concierges, booking of all details, and constant communication and collaboration with your team and your clients. The ideal candidate is someone who has good industry experience preferably in the luxury sector is highly organized and detail-oriented, and is ready to collaborate on executing trips for clients at the highest level.
This is a full-time role, on a night shift and WFH set-up.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage a growing team of advisors with an exceptional group of high-end travelers as your clients
- Research destinations, activities, dining experiences and more, customized to clients tastes and preferences
- Handle execution of all trip booking details from hotels to transfers to reservations and more
- Work directly with hotels, concierges, villa suppliers and local fixers globally
- Collaborate with the greater company team on research and recommendations for travel itineraries
- Tap your love for travel; provide targeted travel intelligence and advice tailored to each specific clients needs
- Be proactive and creative; seek out solutions off the books when needed
- Be an added voice in the conversation and accompanied projects surrounding Profound Travel Adventures growth and development as a company.
- Pull rates, prepare proposals, insurance quotes, and book travel leveraging various industry channels such as Sabre, Virtuoso, industry contacts, Expedia TAAP, etc.
- Monitor trip status, including flights, and keep both clients and suppliers apprised of any updates.
- Handle changes, cancellations and modifications in real-time and adjust on the fly
- Liaise with industry partners to ensure clients are always treated as VIPs at all destinations both upon arrival and throughout the duration of their stay
- Administrative support including logging client/vendor/trip data in the companys CRM
- Attend company trainings and industry webinars and, if interested, conferences and educational familiarization trips to elevate your experience and skillset
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years of experience planning luxury travel either as an independent contractor or company employee
- Comfortable working on over 50 trips at once
- Experience working with large amounts of data and staying organized using a CRM (e.g. itineraries, trip feedback, client information, etc.)
- Well-versed in working with luxury hotels, first and business class air, DMCs, villa suppliers, guides, yacht brokers, etc.
- Must have a sophisticated understanding of a high-end consumers lifestyle and travel trends
- Must have a demonstrated ability to deliver a great client experience with ease and grace
- Proficient in Sabre GDS
- Bonus points for Salesforce CRM expertise, Mileage/Points Redemption and experience working on a team
