Our US Partner Client is a fiber optic internet provider dedicated to delivering reliable, high-speed internet connectivity to rural communities. Their team is committed to expanding fiber optic infrastructure, providing dependable internet access to areas with limited or no connectivity.

We're looking for an OSP Engineer who will be responsible for the design of the growing fiber network. Design responsibilities will include backbone feeder design, lateral design to optimize customer additions, FTTH design, and enterprise business service design. The OSP Engineer will serve as the project owner from inception to completion.

This is a full-time role, shifting/rotating schedule, and a Work-in-Office (WIO) position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain overall OSP system designs for new market areas and existing OSP networks.

  • Conduct pre-design site visits.

  • Attend county/town and/or other agency meetings as required .

  • Prepare and maintain detailed fiber project assignment documents and communicate project requirements with fiber engineers.

  • Perform aerial plant engineering, including coordinating make-ready activities and pole loading analyses with vendors.

  • Design underground fiber OSP networks.

  • Use CAD design software to create fiber designs and bills of materials (BOM).

  • Prepare permit applications related to Rights-of-Way (ROW), railroads, and Departments of Transportation (DOT).

  • Perform quality control (QC) on construction drawings and splicing sheets submitted by contractors and other sources.

  • Provide recommendations on best practices, permitting processes, field construction methods, and telecommunications products.

  • Ensure legal and regulatory requirements are met during network service area planning.

  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the effective operation of the department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent education, required

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics preferred.

  • 3–5 years of Outside Plant (OSP) design experience, including 1–2 years of Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) experience.

  • Solid understanding of Outside Plant (OSP) engineering principles and construction techniques.

  • Experience using AutoCAD, Vetro, Sitetracker and/or client-specific GIS software for Outside Plant Engineering is preferred.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Proven commitment to workplace safety, with documented training and knowledge of OSHA requirements.

  • Must be willing to work onsite at IBP Tower, Ortigas Center, Pasig City.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • OSHA, CPR, or CDL certifications/licenses are preferred.

  • Experience with ESRI ArcGIS, ARROW, VETRO, IQGeo, or similar GIS and OSP design systems is an advantage.

  • Knowledge of OSP engineering and construction practices, standards, and methodologies.

  • Understanding of aerial construction principles, including span lengths, pole loading, anchoring, guying, attachment heights, and joint-use regulations.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Experience identifying and working within public Rights-of-Way (ROW).

  • Flexible, collaborative team player with the ability to contribute across multiple aspects of a project and support the company's growth.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to multitask and effectively manage changing priorities.

  • Project management experience is an advantage.
