Our US Partner Client is a fiber optic internet provider dedicated to delivering reliable, high-speed internet connectivity to rural communities. Their team is committed to expanding fiber optic infrastructure, providing dependable internet access to areas with limited or no connectivity.

The role of Joint Use Coordinator/Permits Specialist is primarily responsible for ensuring that the client's network complies with utility requirements for pole submissions, coordinating with external vendors, and overseeing assigned team members. This role also serves as the primary point of contact for other Field Engineers. The Joint Use Coordinator reports directly to the Lead Joint Use Coordinator and has final authority over project permitting, verification of all required documentation, and the release of completed documentation to the appropriate internal and external stakeholders.

This is a full-time role, shifting schedule, and on a Work in office (WIO) work set-up.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor permitting progress and oversee scheduling to ensure documentation is received from vendors in a timely manner.

  • Assign daily tasks to team members and monitor their progress.

  • Coordinate closely with Engineers to ensure design plans are clearly understood and properly executed.

  • Ensure adherence to approved construction maps and design specifications.

  • Monitor and enforce compliance with safety rules, regulations, and best practices established by governing authorities.

  • Understand and implement local construction methods and procedures as required.

  • Review permits and Right-of-Way (ROW) requirements to ensure compliance.

  • Conduct site inspections of existing and proposed project locations to verify that approved quality plans, procedures, and processes are being followed.

  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements and industry standards before, during, and after construction.

  • Maintain accurate records and prepare project reports.

  • Review documentation prepared by Inspectors, Engineers, and Drafters before submission to external vendors.

  • Provide daily updates to the Engineering Manager regarding overall safety, quality, project status, and production.

  • Perform safe traffic management practices while on project sites.

  • Train team members and coordinate safety refresher sessions, including 10–15-minute toolbox talks.

  • Assist with hiring interviews and provide staff performance review feedback.

  • Support leadership in driving the company's vision, strategy, and growth initiatives through effective leadership, strong interpersonal skills, and sound problem-solving abilities.

  • Must be able to accurately document field work while on-site and complete required documentation in the office.

  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned by leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education, required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics preferred

  • Must have experience with Aerial Fiber Construction, Underground Fiber Construction, via directional boring, trenching, and plowing.

  • Thorough knowledge of engineering design and specifications of design packages.

  • Must have the ability to read, understand, and interpret design packages and have knowledge of civil engineered prints.

  • Leadership and compliance management experience is also a plus.

  • Must be familiar with OSHA Standard 1926 - Safety and Health Regulations for Construction, including Standard 1926 Subpart V - Power Transmission and Distribution.

  • Osha 30 Certification is Required Prior to, or within 30 days of accepting the position.

  • Proficient at using computers and Microsoft Office products.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with construction crews, engineers, and customers.

  • Must have Valid Drivers' Licenses.

  • In-depth knowledge of spans and pole submittal processes is required.

  • Must be willing to work office based IBP Tower, Ortigas Center, Pasig City
