Our US Partner Client is recognized as one of the top bookkeeping service firms headquartered in New York City. They offer outsourced accounting, technology, and recruiting services for our over 100 small to mid-sized business clients in all industries throughout the United States.

We are seeking experienced Senior Staff Accountants who are responsible for the general ledger and recording of business transactions for clients. They process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management transactions. They also perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement closing activities, amongst other related tasks, supporting the financial departments of our clients.

This is a full-time role, on a US shift, and a Work-in-Office (WIO - Cebu) set-up.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Daily review of general ledger reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records

  • Accurately verify, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable

  • Identify areas of improvement and inaccuracies

  • Recommend and help implement corrective actions

  • Manage accrual accounting processes, including month-end and year-end closing activities

  • Perform cash flow projections, track fixed assets, and reconcile balance sheets

  • Process vendor bills and reconcile credit card entries

  • Manage payroll and benefit contribution process

  • Maintain 1099 and sales tax filing

  • Facilitate audits and assist with external audit requests.

  • Prepare financial statements under GAAP compliance

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial initiatives.

  • Mentor junior staff and review work for accuracy.

  • Stay current with accounting standards and regulations, implementing necessary adjustments

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Accounting or Finance degree (we do not provide general tax services)

  • 5+ years of full life-cycle progressive accounting with US GAAP experience

  • 2+ years in public accounting or a multi-client environment

  • Concrete knowledge of QuickBooks (Online & Desktop) and Excel with solid technical aptitude

  • Confident ability to multitask independently and accurately

  • Professional written and oral English communication skills

  • Sharp attention to detail with a responsive nature

  • Proven organization and time management techniques
