Custom WMS System Report Developer (SQL)

We are seeking a skilled Custom Report Developer to design, build, and maintain reporting solutions within our Warehouse and Order Management Systems. This role will focus on leveraging SQL to extract, transform, and present operational data in a way that supports in decision-making, efficiency improvements, and business insights. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in working with large datasets and relational
databases.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain custom reports and dashboards within the WMS environment.
Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries for reporting and data analysis.
Collaborate with External Customers, Implementation, CSM, and Sales team to gather requirements and translate them into reporting solutions.
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and performance of reporting solutions.
Support end-users by troubleshooting issues
Proactively identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency by enhancing existing reports to accommodate evolution of product.
Document report specifications, queries, and workflows for ongoing support and knowledge sharing.

Requirements (Must-Have)
Proficiency in SQL and database query languages with proven experience with SQL development, including writing complex queries, joins, and performance tuning.
Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., MS SQL Server, or MySQL).
Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work across teams and
explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with APIs or system integrations related to data extraction and reporting.
Strong Communication Skills (Oral and Written)

Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with reporting/BI tools (e.g., SSRS, Report Builder 2.0).
Understanding of supply chain operations, inventory management, or
warehouse workflows.
Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
Previous experience in a 3PL, distribution, or eCommerce environment.
Basic knowledge of Excel
