About the job OSP Field Engineer
Our US Partner Client is a fiber optic internet provider dedicated to delivering reliable, high-speed internet connectivity to rural communities. Their team is committed to expanding fiber optic infrastructure, providing dependable internet access to areas with limited or no connectivity.
We're looking for an OSP Field Engineer who is responsible for collecting field information for all OSP Engineering design projects. Required information will include, but not be limited to existing and proposed handhole locations, conduit/fiber optic cable path, fiber terminal/splice case locations, and all pole information relevant to complete attachment application submissions. Additionally, this position will be responsible for submission and coordination of all third party attachment requests, and will monitor and respond to requests in the SPANS system .
This is a full-time position with a shifting schedule and a work-in-office (WIO) setup.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct field and site survey to collect information relevant to proposed projects, create site details, and collect digital images for submission to the OSP Engineer for further design
Collect pertinent information to apply for permits and easements
Work safely and independent of supervision
Conduct research to diagnose and develop solutions
Analysis of field conditions, communicating conditions to engineering team
Perform route analysis and develop aerial and underground fiber route maps
Handle fiber verification and mapping activities
Use GIS and other software to develop engineering designs
Complete and submit state and local permit applications as required to execute OSP projects
Assisting with OSP designs, creation, and assisting as needed
Perform high level analysis of third party pole leads to determine build feasibility
Collect third party pole information and perform pole loading analysis
Submit third party pole attachment applications through SPANS or as required by the pole owner
Complete other duties/projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent education, required
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics preferred
3-5 years outside plant design experience with 1-2 years FTTH experience, preferred
Must have Valid Drivers' Licenses
Experience with pole loading calculations, and third party attachment requests
Experience and understanding of outside plant engineering and construction techniques
Experience working with Outside Plant Engineering in the following systems: AutoCAD, Vetro, Sitetracker, and or client specific GIS software preferred
Excellent interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written
Must be willing to work in the office based IBP Tower, Ortigas Center, Pasig City
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems
Able to effectively handle multiple projects
Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing work environment
Ability to handle stressful situations
