Role Summary
The Senior Engagement Manager will act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to our clients and sales teams. The ideal candidate will have a top-tier educational background, over 5 years of experience in startups, and significant General Manager or leadership experience in the AI sector. This role requires excellent client interaction skills, a consultative approach to pre-sales, and the ability to articulate complex AI solutions to diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and drive AI-focused pre-sales engagements, collaborating closely with sales teams to identify and qualify opportunities.
Develop tailored AI solution proposals and presentations that resonate with client needs and business outcomes.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their challenges and aligning Deccan AIs offerings to deliver value.
Oversee end-to-end engagement delivery planning in collaboration with internal teams, ensuring alignment on scope, timelines, and resources.
Build and nurture executive relationships with clients and internal
stakeholders to foster long-term partnerships.
Provide leadership and mentorship to teams during pre-sales and early delivery phases.
Collaborate with product and technical teams to ensure solutions meet client requirements and expectations.
Leverage previous GM or leadership experience to drive strategic initiatives and business growth within the AI domain.
Experience & Qualifications
Top-tier educational background (preferably from premier institutes).
5+ years of work experience in startup environments, preferably within the AI or technology sectors.
Proven General Manager or senior leadership experience, ideally in AI-focused companies.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with clients and sales teams in a pre-sales or solution consulting capacity.
Strong understanding of AI technologies, market trends, and solution delivery methodologies.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience drafting proposals, Statements of Work (SOW), and managing client negotiations.
Ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with a problem-solving mindset.
Preferred Attributes
Experience with AI startups or scale-ups that have a technology delivery focus.
Hands-on knowledge of AI product offerings and solution architecture.
Strong business acumen and consultative selling skills.
