Our client is a "Rapidly" expanding Springfield, IL based law firm, seeking an energetic Attorney with focus on Personal Injury and Worker Compensation practice areas. Candidates must be self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and possess excellent communication skills.
Client is open to the right candidate being fully remote with travel for court to Springfield, IL.
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various areas of law, including Environmental Law and Family Law. This role requires excellent negotiation, writing, and research skills to effectively advocate for our clients and navigate complex legal issues. The Attorney will be responsible for representing clients in legal proceedings, providing legal advice, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
Duties
- Represent clients in court and during negotiations, advocating for their best interests.
- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and motions.
- Conduct thorough legal research using resources such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis to support case strategies.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to resolve disputes amicably.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to Environmental Law and Family Law.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding their rights and obligations.
- Collaborate with other legal professionals and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
- Maintain accurate records of case files and client communications.
Experience
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) and Illinois state bar membership
- Proven experience in litigating cases, preferably in Environmental Law or Family Law.
- Strong proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on clarity and precision.
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment as well as independently.
- Prior experience in legal administrative tasks is a plus.

Pay: $85,544.00 - $91,526.00 per year
