East London - Diesel Mechanic / Technician

3 Month Contract to Possible Permanent Position

MUST HAVE OWN SET OF TOOLS

RESPONSIBILITIES

Service, Repair and diagnostics of vehicles

Ensuring that scheduled daily and monthly maintenance is done on vehicles

Overall care and maintenance of company assets

Pro-active planning of repairs and services of vehicles

Starting jobs and finishing jobs on Mechanic Desk

QUALIFICATIONS / BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE

Minimum of Grade 12 / N2, preferably N3 or higher technical qualification

Minimum five years general maintenance experience essential

Trade Test / National Qualification required

Code 8 Drivers license

Service, Repair and diagnostics knowledge / experience for all vehicles and commercial vehicles (New and Old)

Experience in Yellow Equipment

PERSONAL/TECHNICAL SKILLS

Sound verbal, written and telephonic communication skills in English

Technical aptitude

Energetic and flexible disposition

Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team

Ability and willingness to work irregular and extended hours

Precise and accurate nature, as well as attention to detail

Deadline orientated
