Job Role & Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join an established engineering team within a busy manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in keeping production and packaging equipment running safely and efficiently, responding to breakdowns and supporting planned maintenance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs
  • Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns
  • Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
  • Fault-find within control panels and work with inverters
  • Maintain production and packaging machinery
  • Work on pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings and conveyors
  • Support site reliability and minimise production downtime
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Work safely and effectively within a fast-paced production environment

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Strong electrical fault-finding experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience reading and interpreting electrical diagrams
  • Experience working with inverters and control panels
  • Strong reactive maintenance skills
  • Basic mechanical maintenance experience
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification
  • Previous UK manufacturing experience
  • A positive, proactive and hands-on approach
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous food manufacturing or FMCG experience
  • Multi-skilled maintenance background
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding experience
  • Experience within packaging, automated or high-speed production environments
  • NARIC-equivalent qualifications will also be considered
