What You'll do:

Staff Engineer responsible for designing and building scalable, cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure, with a primary focus on migrating centralized systems and workflows to distributed, microservices-based architectures.

- Design and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable systems using Microsoft Azure;

- Lead and contribute to the migration of centralized workflows and integration platforms (e.g., ESB) to microservices-based architectures;

- Analyze existing systems, processes, and integrations, and define target distributed architectures;

- Streamline existing processes by applying modern patterns (e.g., APIs, event-driven approaches, messaging);

- Support system reliability, monitoring, and performance during and after migration;

- Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to plan and execute migration initiatives;

. Mostly Remote (1x per month in Leiria) 

Who You Are:

- Experience designing and working with distributed systems;

- Experience migrating centralized architectures and workflows to microservices-based solutions;

- Understanding of system integration design, platforms, and architectural patterns;

- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure;

- Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., C#, Java, Python);

- Familiarity with containers (Docker, Kubernetes);

- Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code;

- Fluency in English;

Preferred factors:

- Experience with messaging and event-driven systems;

- Familiarity with integration platforms and API management;

- Experience in large-scale system modernization or transformation initiatives;
