What you'll do

Responsible for managing and expanding the existing Commercial Vehicle business, while actively developing new opportunities in the assigned area to ensure sustained growth. A strong focus on account management and a proven track record in delivering results is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and grow the Commercial Vehicle business, ensuring long-term relationships with key accounts and delivering consistent results.
  • Manage prototype development and oversee serial production arrangements in coordination with the internal sales team, including handling documentation, purchase orders, quotations, production preparation, and design changes.
  • Handle daily operational requests, such as lead time surveys, mass production process reviews, and packaging assessments.
  • Negotiate pricing adjustments on a semi-annual basis, ensuring alignment with market conditions and maintaining profitability.
  • Monitor and analyze forecast changes, ensuring the business adapts to evolving customer and market needs.
  • Develop new business opportunities, with a specific focus on coolant and fuel lines in the Commercial Vehicle sector, while exploring opportunities related to electrification.
  • Analyze market and competitor information to generate strategic sales plans and expand the business pipeline.
  • Foster strong, long-term partnerships with key clients to ensure ongoing account growth and future business opportunities.
  • Prepare and submit quotations and RFQ documents to drive order fulfillment and maintain competitive positioning.
  • Oversee order fulfillment, monitoring shipping, receiving, and production schedules to ensure timely service and client satisfaction.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as required by the manager.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree or higher in automotive, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the automotive industry.
  • Proven track record of successful account management and business development, particularly within the Commercial Vehicle industry.
  • Strong strategic thinking and a service-oriented, client-focused approach.
  • Proactive and results-driven, with excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and perform under pressure.
  • Native in Japanese and Proficient in English.
