Position: Chief Maintenance Technician (Czech Speaker)

Location: Prague, Czech Republic

Eligibility: Must hold a European Union passport (work eligibility is mandatory)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Deputy Chief Maintenance Technician to join a group of hotels in the Czech Republic. This role requires a Czech -speaking candidate and is responsible for ensuring the smooth technical operation, maintenance, and safety of the hotel facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance Department
• Plan, organise, and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities
• Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and repair of all hotel facilities and technical systems
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors, suppliers, and service providers
• Schedule and ensure completion of mandatory inspections, certifications, and statutory compliance
• Monitor the technical condition of the property and propose improvements and cost optimisation measures
• Prepare maintenance plans, technical reports, and budget input
• Manage maintenance inventory, tools, spare parts, and procurement of materials
• Respond promptly to technical emergencies and operational issues
• Work closely with Hotel Management and operational departments to ensure smooth hotel operations
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, fire protection, and all applicable regulations
• Lead, motivate, and develop the maintenance team
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Hotel Management

Requirements:

• Previous experience in hotel maintenance, engineering, or technical operations
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems and hotel infrastructure
• Experience supervising maintenance teams and external contractors
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Fluent Czech language required; English is an advantage

Salary: CZK 60,000 (2,450 EUR) gross + CZK 15,000 (600 EUR) bonus

Total Package: CZK 75,000 (3,050 EUR) gross per month)
