Project Manager needed for government client in Hanover, Maryland. The Project Manager will collaborate with the Chief and the Director of the Office of Audits and Safety to make sure that projects will be finished on time, within the budget and as per the office goals and objectives. One year contract position. Non-negotiable pay rate of $60.00 per hour.
Essential Duties:
- Participate in the implementation of solutions to address the Office of Audit and Safety Department objectives and priorities as they relate to the services requested.
- Maintain the project schedule and participate in coordination efforts to keep all parties on schedule.
- Participate in project update meetings and working group meetings.
- Manage project implementation and training preparation.
- Create website, copy layout, design, and enhancements.
- Identify, design, and deliver a variety of standard, custom, and ad-hoc documents, reports, and presentations.
- Lead cross-functional teams to successfully deliver complex technical projects on time and within budget.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, resources, and risk management strategies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including government officials, engineers, contractors, and the public, to ensure project alignment with strategic objectives and community needs.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and implement proactive solutions to keep projects on track.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting to track project milestones, budget expenditures, and performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Information Technology, or related field is required.
- At least four years of project management auditing and investigation experience is required as well as Corrective Action Plans in a government or public-sector environment, with a strong understanding of government regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent technical writing skills, and experience in developing procedures, work instructions, templates, and forms is required.
- Exceptional leadership, organization and communication skills, with the ability to effectively motivate teams and build consensus among diverse stakeholders is required.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall, with a track record of successful project delivery is required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset.
- Experience in Change Management is required.
- Familiarity with transportation industry standards, technologies, and best practices is highly desired.
- Project Management Certification is required.
- Must be able to work from 8:00 am-4:30 pm Monday through Friday with a 30 minute non paid lunch working Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays on site and Wednesdays and Friday from home.
- Must be able to pass a FBI background check and drug test.
