Subject Matter Expert needed for our government client in Downtown Baltimore. The Subject Matter Expert will use Information Technology expertise to guide the development of applications and systems that will support the client's commitment to improve the safety of its system for customers and employees. Eight and a half month contract position. The non-negotiable pay rate is $70.00 per hour.

Essential Duties:

  • Work with business leaders to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Create reports for internal teams and/or external clients.
  • Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data.
  • Use graphs, infographics, and other methods to visualize data.
  • Establish KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to measure the effectiveness of business decisions.
  • Structure large data sets to find usable information.
  • Work with a team of Analysts and other associates to process information.
  • Create presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings.
  • Cleanse and prepare data.
  • Analyze and explore data.

Qualifications:

  • Must have at least six years of experience with information technology expertise in the development of applications and systems.
  • A Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Engineering or other closely related technical field is required.
  • Must have three years of progressive experience in data analytics and data operations.
  • Must have experience in using visualization tools (Power BI or similar).
  • Must have experience writing SQL queries.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook and Excel, including with Power Query, Pivot Tables, and lookups is required.
  • Must be able to work from 8:30 am-5:00 pm Monday through Friday with a 30 minute non paid lunch on site is required.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
