Financial and Human Resources Specialist needed for our non-profit in Catonsville, MD. The Financial and Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for financial reporting, invoicing, auditing, evaluating risk analysis, payroll and employee relations. Possible contract to hire position. The non-negotiable pay rate is $55.00 per hour.
Essential Duties:
- Reviewing financial data, identifying trends, and preparing reports to assess an organization's financial health.
- Prepare and review grant and funding documents.
- Invoice generation and processing.
- Compare paid invoice report with time period of obligation and prepare a report of missing invoices.
- Review invoice tracking reports against paid invoices to identify outstanding invoices.
- Process travel authorizations and vouchers.
- Prepare documents for approval to de-obligate unused funding in obligations.
- Prepare documents for approval to de-commit unused funding in
commitments.
- Identifying and mitigating potential financial risks within an organization.
- Creating and managing budgets for different departments or the entire organization, including forecasting revenue and expenses.
- Preparing
accurate financial statements and reports for internal and external
stakeholders, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Utilizing data analysis tools to identify insights and trends from financial data.
- Process payroll, participate in hiring best practices and facilitate employee relations initiatives.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration is required.
- At least five years of accounting and finance is required.
- Non profit experience is preferred.
- Certification as a Certified Financial Specialist, Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant or Certified Internal Auditor is preferred.
- Human Resources experience to include hiring, onboarding, payroll and employee relations is required.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Sage Accounting Software are required.
- Must be able to work 9:00 am-5:00 pm Monday through Friday with a 30 minute non paid lunch onsite.
- Must be able to pass a FBI background check and drug testing.
