Systems Administrator needed for our government client in Glen Burnie, MD. The Systems Administrator will support and secure the local area network. One year contract position. The non-negotiable pay rate is $33.50 per hour.
Essential Duties:
- Work
with 413 servers (55 physical and 358 virtual), a storage area network,
load balances, DMZ, domain controllers, data backups, cloud-based
disaster recover (DR) solution, VLANs, network switches and port
assignments.
- Support and secure software that sits on the equipment along with the security to project it.
- Leverage software tools including but not limited to Microsoft SCCM, Defender and Active Directory, PDQ for patching.
- Manage
Engine Privileged Account Management, Multi-factor Authentication, AD
Audit Plus, Key Management, Log 360, Self Service Plus, Azure
certificate vault, VMware, Nutanix, Nexpose, Orion, Counteract,
Absolute, Commvault, NetApp, Spotlight and Vormetric for infrastructure.
- Manage and configure TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP using BT Diamond's IP Control and MSDNS & MSDHCP tools.
- Build and maintain the virtual servers using VCenter and MS terminal server.
- Provide 24/7/365 support for critical applications scheduled on a rotating basis.
- Support
equipment and systems in 24 branch offices, a mobile bus, 19 VEIP
stations, 12 county offices, external training providers and the Office
of Administrative Hearings in Hunt Valley.
Qualifications:
- Must have at least three years of systems administration and network infrastructure experience.
- Must have experience with Microsoft SCCM, Microsoft Defender, Active Directory, PDQ for patching, Azure, VMware, Nutanix, Nexpose, Orion, Counteract, Absolute, Commvault, NetApp, Spotlight, Vormetric, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP using BT Diamond's IP Control, MSDNS and MSDHCP tools.
- Must be able to work from 8:00 am-4:30 pm Monday through Friday with a 30 minute non paid lunch three days on site and two days from home.
- Must be able to pass a FBI background check and drug test.
