Electronic Mechanical Assistant (Hunt Valley, MD)

Electronic Mechanic Assistant needed for our government client in Hunt Valley, MD. The Electronic Mechanic Assistant will install mobile radio equipment, emergency lighting & siren, mobile computer equipment and other systems in client vehicles. Six month contract position with possible extension or contract to hire consideration. The non-negotiable pay rate is $20.25 per hour.

Essential Duties:

• Install two-way radios, mobile computers, antennas, transmission lines, wiring, cables, and other electronic equipment in vehicles.
• Install other interconnecting electrical and electronic equipment, sirens, intercom and public address systems.
• With training, may program communications equipment as directed.
• Perform testing, preventive maintenance and inventory of electronic equipment.
• Perform set up duties not limited to minor wood and metal fabrication.
• Accurately document work performed and record equipment identification numbers.

Qualifications:

• Must have at least six months of experience and or specialized training in the installation of auto/mobile electronics including: mobile two-way radio or computer communications equipment, emergency lights and sirens, electronic accessories such as remote starters, security and audio systems.
• Must have experience operating hand and power tools used to install electronic equipment.
• Must have experience interpreting schematics, blueprints, and sketches for the installation and maintenance of electronic equipment.
• Must be able to work from 8:00 am-4:00 pm Monday through Friday with a 30-60 minute non paid lunch in Hunt Valley.
• Must have own transportation and work location is not located via public transportation.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
