Application Development Expert needed for our government client in Downtown Baltimore. The Application Development Expert will work with current technical staff to design, develop, test, and implement functionality associated with the Application Software Cybersecurity Assessment and Remediation project. One year contract position. The non-negotiable pay rate is $62.00 per hour.

Essential Duties:

  • Research and adopt a framework for Application Security Testing with coding standards, rules and guidelines that prevent, detect, and remediate software vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and implement methods and processes to mitigate software vulnerabilities, malicious code or defects, while ensuring software applications work as intended.
  • Use existing Rapid7 tools to detect and characterize application software vulnerabilities and implement recommended mitigation procedures.
  • Follow current Open Worldwide Application Security Project (OWASP) Top 10 standard awareness documents to determine software application vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
  • Develop and implement secure software application user authentication and authorization mechanisms, such as OAuth, Identity Framework, or token-based authentication.
  • Analyze and document complex system requirement specifications.
  • Prepare detailed specifications and data flow diagrams.
  • Design business process and modules.
  • Design and develop applications in .NET Framework 4.6 with ASP.NET, C#, MVC architecture Entity Framework 6 utilizing Oracle 12C data base.
  • Develop software and subsystems according to specifications.
  • Develop and maintain Oracle SQL, PL/SQL with Java embedded SQL, scripts for tables, views, and other database objects.
  • Integrate and test software components and manage their implementation.
  • Estimate software development time and schedules.
  • Provide ongoing system and application maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Review existing programs and recommend performance improvements.
  • Provide software development support in migration effort of current Oracle Forms and Report legacy applications to a MS .Net environment.
  • Provide Sales Force administrator and application development support.


Qualifications:

  • Must have at least four years of application security testing and using Rapid 7 tools experience.
  • Must be proficient in Oracle, SQL, Windows, Linux, Salesforce, .NET Framework 4.6 with ASP.NET, C# and MVC architecture Entity Framework 6 utilizing Oracle 12C data base.
  • Must be able to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am-5:00 pm with a 1 hour non paid lunch on site.
  • Must be able to pass a FBI background check and drug test.
