Rolling Stock Technician - Light Maintenance (5 nos.)

Purpose of JOB:
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced RST Technician to join our RST-LM (Light Maintenance) sub-system team. This is a safety-critical role responsible for the frontline maintenance and operational reliability of our passenger trains.
Education & Candidate Profile
- Educational Level: Diploma or equivalent technical qualification.
- Age Bracket: 25–45 years old.
- Key Skills: Corrective Maintenance, Troubleshooting, and Rolling Stock expertise.
Qualifications & Requirements
Industry Experience: Over 5+ years of experience in the maintenance of rolling stock or passenger trains.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Train Systems including Bogie, APS, Traction, TCMS, HVAC, and Pneumatics, including Preventive Maintenance.
Troubleshooting & Modification: Specific experience in HVAC system troubleshooting and mechanical modification works on trains.
Driving & Communication: Good communication skills and a positive attitude. Required train driving experience and Qatar driving skills/license.
Digital Literacy: Proficiency in MS Office and ability to manage workshop reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Train Maintenance: Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on passenger trains strictly following established procedures and safety protocols.
- Safety & Operations: Ensure all technical works meet the required safety standards and support the overall operational needs of the fleet.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Actively monitor train performance and report any abnormalities or technical defects to the RST Team Leader.
- Team Culture: Uphold a high standard of quality and safety while maintaining a customer service-oriented attitude within the maintenance team.
- Operational Flexibility: Work on shifts and irregular hours to meet the demands of a 24/7 transit environment.
- Leadership Support: Be capable of performing the Shift/Workshop Person in Charge (PIC) role when required.
