INSTRUMENT AND SYSTEM CONTTROL ENGINEER

1. PROJECT OVERVIEW

We are seeking experienced Instrumentation and Control Systems Engineers for a short-term site assignment in Qatar. The role involves supporting loop checks, commissioning activities, and system modifications on a major project. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Company Site Lead and must be comfortable working in a dynamic site environment.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform Loop Check and pre-commissioning activities for Control Systems.
• Handle 3rd party interface coordination and troubleshooting.
• Execute database and graphics modifications as required.
• Review and utilize project documentation including IO lists, P&IDs, and Control Narratives.
• Ensure all work complies with project specifications and site safety standards.
• Report daily progress and technical issues to the Site Lead.
• Submit daily timesheets to the client for approval and provide approved copies to the Site Lead.

3. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• System Knowledge: Proven experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
• Commissioning: Strong background in Loop Check and site commissioning activities.
• Preferred Skills: Experience with DeltaV DCS is highly desirable.
• Documentation: Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, IO Lists, and Control Narratives.
• Compliance: Willingness to strictly follow site-specific Safety SOPs with a zero-tolerance policy.

4. WORKING CONDITIONS & LOGISTICS

• Work Schedule: 9 working hours per day + 1 hour lunch break + local travel time.
• Shift Work: Candidate must be ready and available to work in shifts.
• Communication: Must be fluent in English (verbal and written).
