About This Role:

We are urgently seeking an experienced and certified Welding Supervisor to lead our welding team on a major project in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all welding operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications. Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead a team of welders and fitters on-site, ensuring adherence to daily schedules and project milestones.

Read, interpret, and implement engineering drawings, WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications), and quality standards.

Oversee welding processes including 3G/4G FCAW/GMAW and 6G TIG/SMAW.

Conduct inspections of welds to ensure compliance with CSWIP, AWS, or equivalent standards.

Perform pre- and post-weld checks, monitor welding parameters, and ensure the correct use of materials and equipment.

Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and company HSE policies at all times.

Monitor weld quality, conduct visual inspections, and coordinate with QC/NDT teams for testing.

Prepare daily progress reports, maintain welding logs, and report to the Project Engineer/Manager.

Train, mentor, and evaluate welders to improve skill levels and productivity.

Troubleshoot welding-related issues and propose corrective actions.

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years experience in welding supervision, preferably in oil & gas, construction, or industrial projects.

Mandatory Certification: CSWIP 3.1 Welding Supervisor, AWS Certified Welding Supervisor, or equivalent.

Proficient in welding processes: FCAW, GMAW, TIG, SMAW.

Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, isometric drawings, and P&IDs.

Experience with FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) protocols and documentation.

Excellent understanding of international welding standards and quality control procedures.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Valid QID or transferable visa preferred (or willingness to relocate under company sponsorship).
