Job Summary

The Electrical CAD Operator is responsible for preparing, modifying, and maintaining electrical drawings and technical documentation using CAD software. The role supports engineering and project teams by ensuring accurate and timely production of electrical layouts, schematics, shop drawings, and as-built drawings in compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and modify electrical drawings, layouts, schematics, single-line diagrams, and shop drawings using AutoCAD and related software.
• Develop electrical plans based on engineers' designs and project specifications.
• Produce as-built drawings and maintain drawing revisions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with engineers, project teams, and site personnel to incorporate design changes and updates.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project standards, codes, and client requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation and records of all drawings and revisions.
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and consistency before submission.
• Support project teams with technical drafting and drawing-related requirements.
• Prepare drawing submissions and documentation for client approvals.
• Assist in quantity take-offs and preparation of technical reports when required.

Requirements

• Graduate in any related field.
• 2–3 years of experience as an Electrical CAD Operator.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software.
• Good understanding of electrical systems, layouts, and drafting standards.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
• Knowledge of electrical design standards and regulations.
• Familiarity with BIM/Revit will be an added advantage.
