The Plumbing / Fire Fighting CAD Operator will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and updating detailed CAD drawings related to plumbing and fire protection systems for the project. The role involves coordinating with engineers, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and maintaining accuracy in design documentation. Candidates must have solid Gulf experience and strong expertise in Plumbing and Fire Fighting drafting work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, develop, and revise detailed CAD drawings for plumbing and fire fighting systems in accordance with project and engineering requirements.

  • Create plans, sections, isometrics, layouts, schematics, and detailed shop drawings.

  • Coordinate with MEP engineers, site teams, and design reviewers to ensure accurate representation of systems.

  • Update drawings based on markups, design changes, and site instructions.

  • Ensure drawings comply with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.

  • Assist in preparing as-built drawings at project completion.

  • Maintain proper documentation, drawing logs, and version control.

  • Support engineering teams by providing accurate technical drawings on time.

  • Perform basic quantity take-offs related to plumbing and fire fighting layouts (if required).

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Graduate (Engineering/Technical Diploma preferred).

  • Experience: 8-12 years of relevant experience in the Gulf region.

  • Specialization: Must have proven experience in Plumbing and Fire Fighting CAD drafting.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D essential), with knowledge of MEP drafting workflows.

  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems (water supply, drainage, stormwater) and fire protection systems (sprinklers, hydrants, FM200, etc.).

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.

  • Strong understanding of MEP drawings and coordination.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Good communication skills in English.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

Contract: 10-15 Months
