About the job Safety Officer

The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations at the project site. The role involves monitoring site activities, enforcing safety standards, and promoting a safe working environment in line with company and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor HSE policies and procedures at site

  • Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments

  • Ensure compliance with company, client, and regulatory HSE standards

  • Identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions

  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness training

  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents and prepare reports

  • Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices

  • Coordinate with supervisors and management on safety matters

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer

  • Oil & Gas or industrial project experience preferred

  • Relevant HSE certification (NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent is an advantage)

  • Good knowledge of HSE standards and site safety procedures

  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively

Contract: 6 Months (Extendable)
