Role Overview

The Industrial Elevator Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and inspecting heavy-duty elevators used in industrial facilities such as factories, warehouses, and construction sites. This role ensures safe, efficient, and reliable operation of elevators that transport personnel and materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and commission industrial elevator systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, ASME, EN, and ISO safety standards.
• Maintain accurate service logs and technical documentation.
• Support modernization projects and system upgrades.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Hands-on experience with PLCs and elevator control systems.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in elevator installation and maintenance (industrial preferred).
• Professional elevator technician license or certification (preferred).

Work Environment

• Industrial facilities, construction sites, and manufacturing plants.
• Requires use of PPE and adherence to strict safety standards.
• May involve working at heights, confined spaces, and variable shifts.
