Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Technical Trainer – Electrical Engineering to deliver high-quality technical training programs for engineering personnel. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, conducting, evaluating, and continuously improving technical training courses while ensuring trainees achieve the required competency standards. The role also involves maintaining training facilities, managing training resources, and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical training sessions on Medium Voltage (MV) and High Voltage (HV) electrical systems.
  • Develop and deliver structured classroom and practical training programs.
  • Assess trainee knowledge, practical skills, and competency through evaluations and examinations.
  • Certify trainees based on successful completion of training requirements.
  • Plan, organize, and manage training schedules, equipment, materials, and learning resources.
  • Maintain training laboratories, classrooms, tools, and equipment in good working condition.
  • Coach, mentor, and guide trainees throughout the learning process.
  • Continuously review and improve training materials, methodologies, and course content.
  • Prepare training reports, attendance records, assessments, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure all training activities comply with company quality standards and continual improvement initiatives.
  • Support and maintain ISO, Risk Management, and Information Security Management System (ISMS) requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations during training activities.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments to identify competency gaps and training needs.

Requirements

Education

  • Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in the electrical industry.
  • At least 1 year of experience in technical training, learning & development, or instructional delivery.
  • Hands-on experience with Medium Voltage (MV) and/or High Voltage (HV) electrical systems is mandatory.

Certifications

  • Certified Train the Trainer (Training Methodology Certification) is mandatory.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Medium Voltage and High Voltage electrical systems.
  • Excellent presentation, coaching, and facilitation skills.
  • Experience preparing technical training materials and assessments.
  • Knowledge of competency-based training and evaluation methods.
  • Good understanding of ISO standards, Quality Management Systems, Risk Management, and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Valid Train the Trainer certification.
  • Bilingual with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven experience delivering technical training.
  • Strong interpersonal, coaching, and mentoring abilities.
  • Ability to evaluate, assess, and certify trainees.
  • Experience in the utilities, power generation, transmission, or electrical distribution sector is preferred.
