About The Role:
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced HSE Engineer to join a prominent organization in the industrial and electrical manufacturing sector. This is an urgent requirement for a permanent placement. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring Health, Safety, and Environmental policies to ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and risk assessments in accordance with company standards and local regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and hazard identification to prevent workplace incidents.
- Lead incident investigations (near misses, injuries, and property damage) to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Deliver HSE induction programs and toolbox talks to staff and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations regarding waste management and pollution control.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and clients regarding HSE performance and documentation.
- Monitor the effectiveness of safety equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (Mandatory).
- Certifications: Relevant HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) are mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a dedicated HSE role, preferably within the manufacturing, switchgear, or heavy industrial sector.
- Language: Must be a fluent Arabic Speaker (both written and spoken).
- Documentation:
- Must possess a valid No Objection Certificate (NOC) for transfer of sponsorship.
- Valid Qatar Driving License is preferred.
- Availability: Must be able to join immediately.
