Lifting Appointed Person

Job Title: Lifting Appointed Person (AP) – Construction

Location: Doha, Qatar
Contract: 1 Year (Extendable)

Educational / Certification Requirement:

• LEEA (Lifting Equipment Engineers Association) Appointed Person Certification – Mandatory

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years experience in lifting operations within the construction industry

• Proven experience in planning, supervising, and executing lifting operations safely

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and supervise all lifting operations on construction sites in accordance with project requirements and safety standards

• Conduct risk assessments and prepare method statements for lifting activities

• Inspect lifting equipment and accessories, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards

• Provide technical guidance to crane operators, riggers, and other lifting personnel

• Maintain lifting equipment logs and inspection records

• Ensure compliance with Qatars safety regulations and company HSE policies

• Investigate lifting incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions

• Liaise with project management, HSE, and other relevant teams regarding lifting operations

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of lifting operations, rigging practices, and safety regulations

• Excellent leadership and communication skills

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and lifting plans

• Proactive problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Language:

• English – Fluent (both written and spoken)
