About the job Global Supply Manager, Plastics & Metals
We're looking for a Global Supply Manager to own strategic supply management for our plastics and metals categories across our hardware product lines. This role owns category ownership across injection-molded plastics, engineering resins, metal components, and fasteners.
You will own supplier strategy, cost, and supply resilience for plastics and metals while enabling our next generation of hardware products to scale globally.
Based in our Guangdong supply base, you'll spend real time on the factory floor, where the suppliers and the decisions are.
This is a highly cross-functional role working closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Manufacturing partners to deliver high-performing supply chains from prototype through mass production.
What you'll do
Own plastics and metals supply strategy - - -
Define and execute the category strategy across injection-molded plastics, resins, metal components, and fasteners
Build long-term supplier and tooling strategies aligned with product roadmaps and business growth Maintain category cost, capacity, and risk visibility and contribute to the weekly cost-tracking cadence
Build world-class supplier partnerships - - -
Develop and maintain relationships with strategic injection molding, metal fabrication, and tooling partners
Drive supplier performance across quality, delivery, cost, and innovation
Support supplier development, continuous improvement, and co-investment / automation initiatives
Strengthen supply chain resilience -
Identify and mitigate supply risks across critical plastic and metal components, tooling, and manufacturing partners
Develop dual sourcing strategies and contingency plans - -
Monitor material availability (engineering resins, steel, aluminum), market dynamics, and geopolitical risks impacting supply
What you need to succeed - - - - - - - - - -
3–5 years of experience in supply chain, sourcing, or operations within consumer electronics or hardware
Experience sourcing plastics and/or metals commodities such as injection-molded parts, resins, stamped / machined / die-cast metal, or fasteners
Familiarity with tooling and mold management (ownership, qualification, cycle time)
Hands-on experience with supplier qualification and quality systems for member-facing or safety-critical components
Track record of supporting supplier negotiations and cost reduction programs
Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) and production ramp
Strong analytical skills including supply chain risk analysis
Ability to operate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Finance
Based in Guangdong (Shenzhen / Dongguan) with professional fluency in Mandarin and
English; comfortable on the factory floor
Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-growth hardware environments
