Job Description

  • Early engage in part-system (PRD, ERS) study during NPI, co-work with PD/Eng/SDE to standardize & enhance the material NUDD process, establish the early alarm system by analyzing the existing data and predict the risks of future supply.
  • Improve and standardize the IQC process and enhance the traceability capability from the E2E supply chain.
  • Build up the lessons learned system to drive consistency:
  • o Major material issues reporting, traceability, documentation & visualization, which occur/captured at Upper Stream, IQC or FATP.
  • o Study & research on spec alignment between critical Part/Module and System.
  • o Coordinate a regular platform for knowledge, practice and lessons-learnt sharing between SQE & PQE teams.
  • o Optimize and coordinate multiple resources (CM, Vendors, 3rd-parties) for Sourcing Inspection execution.
  • o Vendor OQC & CM IQC optimization and alignment - including test equipment/fixture sourcing, test setup, reasonable sampling plan (AQL), vendor OSS arrangement, golden/limit samples managements, etc.
  • Conduct audits at all Contract Manufacturer (CM) sites (including IQC, IPQC, ORT and OQC etc.) to make sure the quality procedures and practices are fully aligned. Able to perform quality system & process audits per ISO 9000 requirements.
  • Work with Customer's Product Quality Engineer (PQE) and Contract Manufacturer (CM) Quality Manager/Engineer to set up regular process audits, standardize the audit reporting format, and follow up with the CM teams on corrective actions (CA's) process improvements.
  • Perform regular First Article Inspection (and PFOL) for engineering changes or for new part & product (new part numbers) introduction (BOM, Drawing vs actual parts).
  • During NPI phase, regularly update the status of IQC bring up, qualification and correlation study, drive parts level golden & limit sample readiness, also support Customer's PQE to provide training to CM IQC engineers and inspectors.
  • Support Customer's PQE to set up the inspection skill monitor system at CM site, and audit the faulty injection test (FIT) samples and status periodically;
  • Work with Customer's PQE and CM supplier quality engineer to finalize the parts level measurement method, and analyze the measurement data for sub-tier supplier process improvement;
  • Support Customer's PQE to set up traceability control system for all Mechanical parts and Electronic components at NPI stage;
  • Audit CM quality reports to make sure the data is accurate.
  • Work with Customer's PQE and CM quality team to drive quality issue failure analysis (FA), review 5C/8D report and follow up with the CM/supplier quality teams on corrective actions (CA's) and preventive actions (PA's) implementation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA in Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or related fields.
  • Good command of English, proficiency in Chinese is preferred.
  • Minimum 7-8 years' experience in all levels' quality management in electronic manufacturing industry (OEM, ODM, JDM, or EMS).
  • Good understanding and practical experience relating to FATP (Final Assembly, Test & Packing)
  • Experience in managing outsourced manufacturing suppliers.
  • Familiar with all the quality tools such as GRR / Correlation / FAI / CPK/ CTQ, etc.
