Audio Supplier Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage audio speaker suppliers.
• Experience on consumer electronic transducer/speaker module design and Manufacturing development
• Responsible for audio module/transducer parts sub-assembly from NPI to Ramp.
• Work with the Engineering Team and commercial Team to identify, audit and select the best supplier/partner (SPOR) in China to manufacture our products
• To define quality characterization, inspection methodology, and qualification of components (transducer/Audio module, module level sub-Assembly qualifications, etc.) before Module ships to FATP (Final Assembly, Testing and packaging).
• Work with product design, quality and Reliability Team to analyze, root cause and solve function or REL failure issues during audio module development from NPI to Ramp.
• Travel within China to manage our audio module suppliers.
• Participate in build readiness review at vendor factory before build and follow up issues after each build.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years' process engineering and/or quality management experience in consumer electronic manufacturing industry, Include 3+ years of experience in Audio module manufacturing, quality, operation, and/or assembly.
•  Failure analysis ability of audio speaker.
• Knowledge of common audio industry glue, like motor parts glue, UV glue and etc.
• Strong experience in Automation technology for assembly and inspection.
• Ability to perform and design DOE, data analysis, root cause investigation.
• Interpersonal skills including cross-functional and cross-culture collaboration.
•  Experience working with vendors.
• Able to write, read and communicate both English and Mandarin.
