About the job Hardware Test Engineer (Optical)
Location: Weifang
The main function of a hardware test engineer is to develop and deploy test stations, support engineering and production builds, support troubleshooting and fix issues, refine test requirements, and improve testing procedures and efficiency.
Job Responsibilities:
- On site contract factory, represented as OTE.
- Work closely with CM manufacturing engineers on NPI optical test/tester sustaining. Track build test data,
- Support urgent case / request from OTE team and XFN team.
- Support testers bring-up and qualification on site, and carry out troubleshooting and fix with contract manufacturer or tester vendor.
- Plan and carry out DOE on site for testing development and FA.
- Continuous work on tester design and efficiency improvement.
- Supporting new test tools / algorithm implementation and qualification.
- Develop new testing procedures and enhance existing ones to ensure both reliability and usability.
- Plan and execute tests of hardware, recording test results and reporting to the design team.
- Consolidate all documents for the testers, including but not limited to SOP, calibration file, and audit records. Track all changes made to hardware and assist in review of design and specification.
- Develop tests and debugging tools to analyze functionality of hardware systems.
Skills:
- Consumer electronic product manufacturing test engineer background.
- Knowledge of image/optical testing.
- Knowledge of tester hardware/software setup.
- Knowledge of tester GRR and Correlation process.
- Program management and MIL following up.
- Excellent communication skills. English writing skill is necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
BS or MS degree in engineering or related field
4+ years of experience in consumer electronic product volume manufacturing testing.
Experience with domestic and/or international consumer electronics vendors and supply chain.
Understanding of fundamental considerations of building hardware in development and volume production stages
Experience in test automation, frameworks, SAT and FAT concept to enable comprehensive test coverage
Background in delivering optical camera or display module test solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong understanding of module test and manufacturing processes with direct experience managing manufacturing test implementation and execution
Demonstrated ability to deploy test stations and troubleshoot manufacturing test issues
Can-do attitude with the ability to drive results, motivate, and instill a sense of urgency in others
Ability to achieve results with minimal supervision
Travel required: this is on-site, travel request is under 10%.
