About the job Supplier Quality Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
· Supplier Quality Management:
o Conduct thorough supplier assessments and audits to evaluate their quality systems and capabilities.
o Develop and implement supplier quality plans and procedures.
o Monitor and analyze supplier performance data to identify areas for improvement.
o Work closely with suppliers to address quality issues and drive corrective actions.
· Process Quality Control:
o Oversee quality control activities throughout the manufacturing process, including incoming inspection, process inspection, and final product inspection.
o Ensure that manufacturer adheres to all client-specified standards, procedures, and regulations.
o Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures for injection molding, metals (stamping, cutting, powder coating), cosmetics, enclosures, and cabling.
o Collaborate with manufacturing engineering and production teams to optimize processes and improve product quality.
· Client Liaison:
o Serve as the primary point of contact between the client and the manufacturer.
o Communicate effectively with client representatives to address quality concerns and provide updates on production progress.
o Represent the client's interests and ensure that their requirements are met.
· Continuous Improvement:
o Drive continuous improvement initiatives through the use of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
o Identify and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining product quality.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
· Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in supplier quality engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
· Strong understanding of quality management principles and tools (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
· Experience with injection molding, metals (stamping, cutting, powder coating), cosmetics, enclosures, and cabling.
· Experience with battery storage products is a plus.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Proficiency in quality management software.
