Overview

SDE (Supplier Development Engineering) team is making the cars of the future a reality. We handle all production processes and supplier development strategies: from contracts and purchasing, to designs for improved manufacturing, through quality control and delivery. We collaborate actively with engineering teams as well as external suppliers and partners to make sure everything is built with highest quality and delivered on time to meet the rising demands of our business.

Main Responsibilities

  • Jointly work with FATP IQC to conduct the IQC inspection for the incoming components to ensure the quality is met.
  • Provide on-site inspection support at FATP site.
  • Qualify new metrology equipment and complete measurement system analysis to ensure optimal performance and capability.
  • Be able to conduct the correlation-ship study between up and downstream suppliers.
  • Work on and execute the quality control plan for certain components.
  • Manage and resolve material quality issues, identify root cause and implement effective and sustainable countermeasures.
  • Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in metrology, quality assurance and/ or manufacturing.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering is a plus.
  • Detailed knowledge of mechanical drawings, GD&T, GRR etc.
  • Proficient in developing and validating automated inspection programs for coordinate and optical measuring machines (CMM/OMM).
  • The ideal candidate has experience programming Hexagon OMM/CMM using PC-DMIS or Zeiss, MicroVu, OGP equipment.
  • Hands-on experience performing inspection with mechanical hand tools (e.g. calipers, micrometers, height gauge, dial indicators).
  • Capable of analyzing dimensional data using statistical tools and software (e.g. JMP, Minitab).
  • Experience in designing fixtures and gauges for mechanical manufacturing processes is a plus.
