Job Overview
- You will be responsible for managing and optimizing the Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) and Surface Mount Technology (SMT) processes for new products. This role is ideal for a driven engineer experienced in electronic component manufacturing, with a strong focus on NPI, DFM/DFA, and supplier quality collaboration.

Job Description
- Oversee the development, optimization, and scaling of PCBA and SMT processes for new products, ensuring adherence to industry standards and optimal cost, quality, and efficiency.
- Manage the NPI process for electronic components, coordinating with design, engineering, and production teams for seamless integration into product development.
- Conduct DFM and DFA reviews to optimize electronic designs for PCBA and SMT, providing feedback to enhance manufacturability and reduce costs.
- Continuously evaluate and improve PCBA and SMT processes, focusing on yield, cycle time, and cost efficiency; implement best practices to maintain advanced manufacturing capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers to ensure quality standards and specifications for electronic components are met; lead initiatives to improve supplier quality.
- Stay updated on advancements in PCBA and SMT technologies, integrating new methodologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities and product quality.
- Work cross-functionally with design, quality, and production teams to align on requirements and ensure successful product launches, supporting the transition to mass production.
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience in PCBA and SMT processes, with a strong background in electronic component manufacturing.
- Proven track record of managing NPI projects for electronic components, from concept through to mass production.
- Expertise in conducting DFM and DFA reviews to ensure electronic designs are optimized for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
- Demonstrated ability to optimize PCBA and SMT processes to improve yield, reduce cycle times, and enhance cost efficiency.
- Experience collaborating with suppliers to ensure high-quality standards and improve process reliability in electronic components.
- Fluency in English for effective communication in an English-speaking environment; fluency in Chinese is an added advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineering Degree in BSEE or a related field with 5+ years of experience in PCBA, SMT, and electronic component processing.
- Extensive experience managing NPI projects in the electronics manufacturing industry, especially related to PCBA and SMT processes.
- Demonstrated skill in conducting DFM/DFA reviews for electronic designs, focusing on manufacturability and assembly efficiency.
- Proven track record in optimizing PCBA and SMT processes to achieve high-quality, cost-effective production.
