Responsibilities
- Manage OK2Build deliverables in new product introduction phases to ensure the readiness of the suppliers manufacturing process and quality controls before each build:
- Conduct 3D/2D drawings review and drive issue closure with product design/ENG team;
- Review and approve DFM of glass BG, Glass RCAM CG, etc;
- Analyze FAI/OQC reports, yield data and review and approve waiver/deviation, to assess suppliers capability to meet design intent, plan and conduct DOE to improve process efficiency, reduce cycle time, and increase functional, cosmetic, and dimensional yields;
- Collaborate with SQE to Develop/implement/monitor supplier Quality Control Plans for early detection of quality issues to ensure parts meet or exceed quality and reliability requirements
- Lead glass critical process qualification (CNC, 3D thermoforming, polishing, bead blasting + NaOH polishing, printing/painting, etc), including machine, fixture, consumables life to support project ramp up.
- Evaluate potential suppliers for their manufacturing and quality capabilities based on project needs.
- Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Understanding of basic Statistical Process Capability (Cp/Cpk) and Measurement System Analysis (G R&R)
- 5 years or above experience in the mobile phone glass industry
- Ability to work & communicate with written English and workable verbal communication.
- Be familiar with the whole glass manufacturing process & multiple tests for Back Glass (or Cover Glass), RCAMs, etc. Fully understand glass parts cosmetic criteria and have basic experience on cosmetic limits review
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering
- Cosmetic golden eye, abundant experience on cosmetic limits grading
- Comfortable working both independently and as a team player in a globally distributed team. Demonstrated sense of ownership, detail oriented, organized and hands-on.
- Strong skills leading problem solving processes: problem definition, containment, occurrence/escape root cause analysis, corrective/preventive action planning and execution.
- Experience with interpretation of design drawings/GD&T, schematics, and cosmetic standards for creation;
- Ability to use common data analysis tools (JMP or Minitab and etc);
