Job Description

This is a contract role to support Oura's initiatives. This role will be employed by SCRG (not Oura), but will work closely with Oura teams and play a meaningful role in supporting Oura growth in the region.


  • CM & Factory Test Ownership
  • Own and manage factory test execution at assigned CM.
  • Act as the primary on-site technical representative for Customer during Ops builds, ramp, pack out, and shipping.
  • Ensure consistent test coverage, limits, procedures, and execution across CM sites.
  • Drive CM accountability for quality, yield, throughput, and test performance.
  • Build Execution & Operations Support
  • Lead and support Proto, EVT, DVT, PVT, and mass production builds.
  • Manage day-to-day test issues during builds, including yield loss, tester downtime, and process escapes.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Quality, and central Test Engineering teams to unblock build issues quickly.
  • Support production ramp and stabilization through hands-on factory engagement.
  • Test Process Engineering
  • Help develop and sustain manufacturing test processes, stations, and fixtures.
  • Drive improvements in labor reduction, automation, test time, and factory efficiency.
  • Ensure test processes are scalable, repeatable, and production-ready.
  • Integrate test processes with factory data systems, MES, and shop-floor tools.
  • Statistical Process Control & Data Analysis
  • Apply SPC, GR&R, Cp/Cpk, correlation analysis, and DOE.
  • Qualify test stations for capability, repeatability, and reproducibility.
  • Analyze factory data to identify trends, root causes, and systemic issues.
  • Drive data-backed decisions to improve yield and product quality.
  • Failure Analysis & Issue Resolution
  • Lead failure analysis for product, tester, fixture, and process-related issues.
  • Drive corrective actions with CM engineers, tester vendors, and automation suppliers.
  • Close test gaps and correlation issues between internal labs and factory environments.
  • CM Onboarding & Audits
  • Support new CM and new site bring-up, including:
  • o CM organizational review
  • o Team training and readiness
  • o Test line setup and qualification
  • Participate in CM audits and assessments with central Test Engineering and Operations teams.
  • Drive CM performance to meet quality, cost, and delivery expectations.
  • Technology & Continuous Improvement
  • Rapidly learn new software, automation, and AI-enabled tools.
  • Identify opportunities to apply new technologies to improve factory test processes and tools.
  • Share best practices across sites to drive global consistency.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing test engineering, factory test, or production engineering.
  • Hands-on experience in assembly, inspection, test station design, test development, or automation equipment.
  • Proven experience working directly with CMs in a factory environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex test and manufacturing issues.
  • Proficient in English. Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a global environment.
  • Willingness to travel 30–50% across domestic and international factory sites.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with tester design, qualification, troubleshooting, and process buy-off.
  • Strong knowledge of tester calibration, correlation, GR&R, Cp/Cpk, DOE, and failure analysis.
  • Experience managing suppliers, tester vendors, and automation partners.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and manufacturing data tools.
  • Experience supporting high-volume consumer electronics or wearable products.
  • Familiarity with factory MES, yield dashboards, and shop-floor systems.
