Hours: Variable shifts between 7:00 AM 5:30 PM

Sunshine Pediatric Day Center is a dynamic and compassionate pediatric health care organization serving medically fragile children across multiple locations in Texas. We are currently expanding our care model by establishing a Travel Nurse Pool to support staffing needs across our Dallas, DeSoto, Tyler, and Fort Worth centers. This initiative is geared towards flexibility, consistency in care, and clinical excellence.

Position Overview:
We are seeking experienced and dedicated Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN) to join our Travel Nurse Pool. This role is ideal for professionals who are adaptable, reliable, and passionate about pediatric care. The selected individuals will float between our four facilities based on staffing demands and patient census.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality, developmentally appropriate nursing care to medically fragile children.

• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other interdisciplinary care team members to implement and assess individualized care plans.

• Perform detailed nursing assessments and monitor vital signs and patient status.

• Administer medications and treatments accurately and in accordance with physician orders and organizational protocols.

• Identify and respond to signs of clinical deterioration or adverse reactions in a timely and effective manner.

• Educate families on care plans, medication regimens, and safety procedures.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using approved EMR systems.

• Comply with infection control, HIPAA, and PPECC regulatory guidelines.

• Travel as needed between centers; schedule will be communicated in advance by the nursing leadership team.

Qualifications:

• Active RN or LVN license in the State of Texas (unencumbered)

• Pediatric nursing experience preferred; open to candidates willing to train into the pediatric specialty

• Valid CPR (BLS) certification required

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to travel between assigned sites; reliable transportation required

• Must be dependable and committed to consistent, compassionate care delivery

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience in a PPECC, pediatric home health, pediatric ICU, or other pediatric care settings

• Tracheostomy and G-tube care proficiency (training available if needed)
