Head of Finance [Payments, Fintech, Remote]

We are looking for an experienced Head of Finance to build and lead a reliable, scalable and well-controlled finance function within a growing international company.

This role is not limited to accounting or financial reporting. We are looking for someone who can design the financial infrastructure of the company, implement appropriate systems and controls, and ensure that financial operations remain compliant, transparent and secure as the business scales.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and continuously improve the company's finance function, processes and financial operating model.
• Select, implement and develop financial management systems, ERP and automation tools.
• Establish strong internal financial controls, approval processes and segregation of duties.
• Ensure financial processes comply with applicable accounting, tax, regulatory and corporate requirements.
• Build reliable management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management.
• Establish processes for payments, treasury, reconciliation, invoicing and financial operations.
• Identify financial and operational risks and implement controls to protect the company.
• Ensure the company is audit-ready and financial information is accurate and traceable.
• Improve automation and reduce manual financial processes.
• Work closely with management, Legal, Operations and other departments.
• Build and manage the finance team as the company grows.

Requirements

• Strong experience as a Head of Finance, Finance Director, Finance Manager, Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.
• Experience building or significantly transforming a company's finance function.
• Strong knowledge of financial systems, ERP, internal controls and finance automation.
• Solid understanding of accounting, reporting, budgeting, treasury and financial governance.
• Experience working in an international and/or regulated environment is highly desirable.
• Ability to combine strategic financial thinking with hands-on implementation.
• Strong understanding of how to build financial processes that are scalable, compliant and secure.
