About the job Low Voltage Technician
Job Description
- Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems, including but not limited to security systems, fire alarms, access control systems, and CCTV systems.
- Perform system testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate installation and configuration of low voltage systems.
- Install and terminate cabling for various low voltage systems.
- Collaborate with other technicians and team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Low Voltage Technician or in a related field.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and electrical testing equipment.
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations and standards.
- Experience with system design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems.
- Familiarity with IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), alarm system sales, and locksmithing is a plus.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Must Have a current drivers license.
