About the Firm
Our client is an early-to-late-stage venture capital fund with $1B+ in assets under management, backing 30+ category-defining companies across AI, infrastructure, robotics, energy, space tech, and life sciences. Founded in 2015, the firm combines deep venture expertise with an extraordinary network of founder and Fortune 500 relationships. This is a lean, 20-person team where individual contributors carry real ownership over outcomes.
The Opportunity
This is a rare seat at an elite fund with a portfolio most investors would envy. You'll own institutional LP relationships end-to-end — not administer them — while getting hands-on exposure to multi-hundred-million-dollar SPV structuring and a real path toward an investment role. Compensation includes meaningful upside through carry and investment participation, not just salary.
What You'll Do
- Manage and update top-tier LPs (endowments, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds) on portfolio performance and new opportunities
- Present co-investment opportunities in breakout portfolio companies and drive LP engagement/allocation
- Source, pitch, and build long-term relationships with new institutional investors to grow the LP base
- Collaborate on structuring, documentation, and management of large SPV co-investment vehicles
- Partner with the investment team across seed through late-stage deals, feeding LP insights into decision-making
- Own the CRM and serve as the operational backbone of LP relationship management
What We're Looking For
- 2–10 years of direct institutional LP fundraising experience — from a VC fund, private equity firm, or bulge-bracket bank. Candidates with only operations, materials/PR, or family-office/SPV syndication experience will not be a fit.
- Degree from a top-tier institution (Ivy League, Stanford, MIT, Northwestern, or similar)
- Prior experience at a recognized VC (e.g., Base10, Headline, SignalFire, General Catalyst, Sequoia, Benchmark), PE firm (e.g., Blackstone, Apollo, Carlyle, KKR), or bulge-bracket bank (Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan)
- Demonstrated ownership of institutional LP relationships — not just supporting materials or CRM upkeep
- Experience structuring or supporting multi-million/billion-dollar co-investment vehicles
- Strong financial modeling skills: fund performance, LP returns, carry structures, investment economics
- Executive presence and the ability to present to sophisticated institutional audiences
- Entrepreneurial, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to New York; this is an in-office role
