About the Role:
JMS Group employ 50+ staff undertaking civil & structural engineering designs and has been serving the Construction Industry for over 25 years.
We have an opening for an experienced Structural Engineer to join our team at our London (Central) office to undertake designs on a variety of projects, from small domestic extensions to large, multi-storey apartment and office developments. Working alongside colleagues within the local office as well as those in other parts of the Group, you will be encouraged to develop your design experience and skills and be supported to obtain accreditation to the Institute of Structural Engineers.
With project costs up to £12m and the use of the latest design software, the role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in impactful, high-value projects. A competitive salary will be offered, commensurate with the importance of this role within our company.

Responsibilities:
- Use latest design software to create and manage structural designs.
- Liaise with key clients and discuss design/technical solutions with team members
- Prepare calculations, drawings, details, specifications and reports for a wide range of structures and materials
- Develop existing customer relationships and promote JMS's services.
- Assist in achieving targeted revenues from current and new customers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent (Masters degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in structural engineering in the UK, ideally in London
- Chartered Engineer status (CEng) would be advantageous
- Proven track record of cost estimation and project management.
- Prior experience working with concrete buildings is highly desirable.
