The Senior Salesforce Consultant is a strategic advisor to both clients and internal teams, specializing in the Financial Services sector. This role leads the discovery, design, and delivery of high-impact solutions built on Financial Services Cloud (FSC). By bridging the gap between complex financial business needs and technical execution, this role drives the requirements process, optimizes industry-specific workflows (like Lead-to-Cash or Wealth Management onboarding), and ensures solution alignment with regulatory and business goals.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Requirements Leadership:
- Lead discovery sessions with executive stakeholders in Banking, Insurance, and Wealth Management to define business challenges.
- Translate complex financial processes (e.g., loan origination, policy management, or client financial profiles) into actionable FSC requirements and solution roadmaps.
- Drive alignment between business objectives and technical feasibility, specifically focusing on FSC's data model (Person Accounts, Financial Accounts, and Households).
- Support pre-sales by defining scopes for FSC implementations and collaborating on high-value industry demos.
Business Process Optimization (Financial Focus):
- Analyze and re-engineer financial business processes to maximize ROI and improve the Client 360 experience.
- Facilitate business transformation through automation (Flows) and system integrations (e.g., Core Banking systems or Fintech APIs).
- Lead process mapping for financial journeys, identifying redundancies in client onboarding and account servicing.
Solution Design & Governance:
- Serve as the primary architect of functional design documents, leveraging FSC-specific features like Action Plans, Life Events, and Relationship Maps.
- Review and validate proposed architectures to ensure compliance with financial regulations (GDPR, SOC2, etc.) and platform best practices.
- Recommend FSC-specific licenses and configuration strategies that balance cost and long-term scalability.
Stakeholder Management & Communication:
- Build "trusted advisor" relationships with key stakeholders in the financial sector.
- Manage scope and expectations with clarity, especially regarding complex integrations with financial data legacy systems.
- Facilitate executive-level presentations and solution walk-throughs for financial leadership teams.
Testing, Enablement & Change Management:
- Oversee UAT planning and testing for financial workflows, ensuring data accuracy and security are prioritized.
- Lead the delivery of tailored training for Advisors, Bankers, and Agents, ensuring high adoption of FSC tools.
Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement:
- Mentor junior consultants on the nuances of Financial Services Cloud and industry-specific playbooks.
- Promote a data-informed culture by guiding clients in reporting strategies, focusing on AUM (Assets Under Management), Wallet Share, and Lead Conversion KPIs.
Requirements:
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience as a Salesforce Consultant, with at least 2+ years focused on Financial Services Cloud (FSC) projects.
- Proven success in leading CRM transformations for Banks, Insurance companies, or Wealth Management firms.
- Experience in pre-sales strategy, including scoping and demos specifically for the financial sector.
Skills:
- Advanced ability to facilitate stakeholder alignment within the highly regulated financial industry.
- Expertise in FSC Data Modeling (Household, Financial Accounts, and Business Accounts).
- Strong skills in process modeling and user story writing for complex financial integrations.
Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC), Sales Cloud, and Service Cloud.
- Familiarity with financial industry regulations and data security standards.
- Salesforce certifications: Financial Services Cloud Accredited Professional (Highly preferred), Administrator, and Consultant certifications (Sales or Service Cloud).
