About the job VP of Delivery
VP of Technical Delivery
Strong CRM
Location: Remote (US/Canada), with a distributed LATAM delivery team
Reports to: Founder/CEO
Team: ~45 delivery professionals across Salesforce clouds
About Strong CRM
Strong CRM is a bootstrapped, profitable Salesforce systems integrator that has grown from under $300K to roughly $5M in revenue in five years. We specialize in the high-complexity end of the ecosystem — Field Service Lightning, Revenue Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, Health Cloud, MuleSoft, and Spiff — delivered by a talented, certification-heavy nearshore team. We serve roughly 80 active clients with a strong existing-client expansion engine and a reputation for doing the hard work that generalist shops can't.
We're at an inflection point. The founder currently carries both senior architecture and delivery leadership personally, and we're hiring a technical leader to own delivery end to end — so the practice can scale beyond any single person.
The Role
You will own the delivery organization: its quality, its margin, its people, and its technical standards. This is a hands-on leadership role, not a figurehead one. You'll be close enough to the work to make the hard architectural calls on complex engagements, and senior enough to build the systems, standards, and leaders that let delivery run without the founder in the loop. Success means that within 12 months, the founder is no longer the bottleneck or the senior technical escalation point for delivery — you are.
What You'll Own
Delivery leadership & client outcomes
Own end-to-end technical executiondelivery across all active and prospect engagements, including — scoping, staffing, sequencing, timelines, and client satisfaction
Serve as the senior delivery escalation point for at-risk projects, stepping in to recover timelines, scope, or client relationships when needed
Establish and run a delivery governance cadence — project health reviews, risk flagging, and status reporting — so problems surface early rather than at the deadline
Partner with clients as a trusted senior technical voice, especially on the largest and most complex accounts
Own delivery-driven client expansion — ensuring quality and proactive guidance turn engagements into repeat and expansion work
Margin, utilization & delivery economics
Own delivery gross margin and protect the margin profile that makes the business work
Manage team utilization, bench, and staffing efficiency across concurrent engagements
Improve estimation accuracy and scoping discipline so projects are priced and staffed to land profitably
Identify and reduce margin leakage — scope creep, over-servicing, rework, and mis-staffing
Provide the founder with clear, regular visibility into delivery metrics, capacity, and forecast
Technical authority & standards
Set architecture patterns, standards, and best practices across FSL, Revenue Cloud, FSC, Health Cloud, MuleSoft, and Spiff
Serve as the final technical decision-maker and escalation point on hard architectural problems
Establish and enforce code and configuration review practices, quality gates, and delivery standards
Drive reusable-asset and accelerator development so the team stops rebuilding the same solutions from scratch
Stay current on the Salesforce platform roadmap and guide how new capabilities are adopted into delivery
Team leadership & organizational scaling
Lead, mentor, and develop a ~45-person nearshore delivery team
Build the management layer beneath you — team leads, senior architects, and practice owners — so delivery scales beyond any single person
Own hiring, onboarding, and ramp for delivery roles, including workforce planning against pipeline
Set and drive the certification strategy across the specialized clouds
Own performance management — clear expectations, feedback, development paths, and accountability
Build and protect a culture of quality, ownership, and accountability across a distributed, cross-border team
Delivery operations & repeatability
Turn hard-won project patterns into documented, repeatable methodologies and delivery playbooks
Develop productized and accelerator-based delivery approaches that improve margin and shorten sales cycles
Own the delivery tooling and systems that support quality, visibility, and efficiency
Partner with sales on scoping, solutioning, and technical pre-sales for complex opportunities
Systematically reduce founder- and hero-dependency by building process where there is currently tribal knowledge
What We're Looking For
Senior technical consulting leadership in the Salesforce ecosystem — someone clients trust in the room, who can hold executive-level conversations, shape solutions, and be the credible senior voice on complex, high-stakes engagements
A track record of leading and scaling a sizable delivery organization — you've run delivery at meaningful scale and know how to bring structure, standards, and leadership to a growing team
The ability to provide technical leadership across our specialized clouds without being the hands-on builder — setting direction, making the hard architectural calls, and elevating the team's technical bar
A systems-builder who designs how an entire delivery org operates — methodologies, standards, quality, and repeatability — rather than solving problems one project at a time
Proven success leading distributed and/or nearshore teams, ideally LATAM — building quality, culture, and accountability across a remote, cross-border organization
The presence and judgment to operate as a true peer to the founder, and the credibility to own delivery and client relationships end to end
Nice to Have
Salesforce certifications across our specialized clouds
Experience climbing the Salesforce partner tier and working with Salesforce AEs and co-sell motions
Roofing, field-service, or other vertical experience
Experience in a bootstrapped or founder-led environment
Spanish or Portuguese
Why This Role
You'll take a profitable, respected, technically excellent practice and make it scalable — with real ownership over how delivery is built, and a founder who genuinely wants to hand you the keys rather than look over your shoulder. This is a rare chance to shape the technical and delivery backbone of a growing company at exactly the moment it's ready to scale.
