The Senior Project Manager leads the successful delivery of complex Salesforce implementation, integration, and customization projects. They are accountable for project outcomes, customer satisfaction, budget control, and team performance. In addition to managing large or strategic projects, they mentor other Project Managers, help refine delivery processes, and play an active role in risk management and customer strategy. The Senior Project Manager acts as a key partner to the Delivery Director, ensuring high-quality delivery standards are met across the company.
Responsibilities:
- Advanced Project Planning:

Understand and validate project SOWs and propose refinements when needed.
Build detailed project plans, milestone timelines, and governance structures for high-complexity projects.

Maintain up-to-date Gantt charts and project tracking in Mission Control (MC).

Manage onboarding setup (credentials for Spiff, Salesforce orgs, etc.) with minimal delay.

- Stakeholder Management and Executive-Level Communication:
- Identify key decision-makers and influencers on the customer side; manage stakeholder expectations proactively.
- Facilitate standups, daily team syncs, steering committees, and executive sponsor updates.
- Lead customer-facing sessions with structured agendas, recordings, and documented action items.
- Schedule regular demo sessions and project showcases to demonstrate tangible progress.
- Deliver polished, executive-style weekly reports covering project health, risks, milestones, and financial status.
- Budget and Resource Management:
- Lead financial tracking and control for assigned projects, ensuring tight budget discipline.
- Perform in-depth Forecasted vs Actuals hours analysis and adjust plans based on financial indicators.
- Take ownership of the PMO Grid updates for portfolio visibility.
- Mentor junior PMs on financial project management.
- Risk, Issue, and Change Management:
- Proactively manage risk and escalate critical issues before they impact project delivery.
- Maintain an updated risk matrix with mitigation and contingency strategies.
- Own scope change management, ensuring formal change logs are maintained and communicated to stakeholders.
- Execution, Monitoring, and Quality Control:
- Ensure day-to-day progress stays aligned with the overall project plan.
- Track task updates daily and ensure corrective actions are implemented when issues arise.
- Develop contingency coverage plans for resource OOO periods and project pivots.
- Enforce process and quality standards on all project artifacts and deliverables.
- Mentorship and Delivery Process Improvement:
- Mentor and support Project Managers by sharing best practices, templates, and approaches.
- Participate in PMO meetings and contribute to the evolution of company-wide project delivery standards.
- Identify delivery bottlenecks and propose solutions to increase efficiency across projects.
- Project Closure:
- Lead project retrospectives and closure activities, ensuring learnings are captured and communicated.
- Deliver formal project closure documents and handoffs where applicable.
Requirements:
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience managing Salesforce, CRM, or cloud technology projects.
- Proven record of delivering large-scale or complex multi-phase projects.
- Previous experience mentoring junior PMs or acting in a "lead PM" role is highly valued.
- Strong familiarity with PSA tools like Mission Control is a must.
